This place was actually established decades ago, when exceptional craftsmen from across the region were invited to create artefacts that could serve as an example for generations to come. The display items thus created were meticulous in details and had a high artistic value. However, for some reason, it was abandoned for a long while, only to be revived a couple of years ago. The entire building was renovated and the museum was recreated by giving its displays a refreshed look and preserving them with the help of INTACH. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has even the slightest interest or inclination towards learning about the handicrafts of India. It is difficult to find a parallel to this museum in the entire region.
