The museum is very good and clean but though the museum is very small, there wasn't much things to watch and visit in the place. The museum had only minimum species sediments.

Everyone must visit this place at least once. This museum is 100 years old. You can see all the animals, birds, snakes, insects in preserved form. Even you can see human baby from 4 months to 9 months in preserved form.

Very nice concept, it's a 100+ years old museum which is maintained by restoration team from Chennai.

It has over 300+ species of animals and their bones, skin, skulls, skeletons and more. Also they've collected different things from different eras in the history. It was a place to remember.

It has a very minimal entry fee of Rs.30/adult where 20 is donated to a children's home behind the museum and 10 is used for the maintaining the place.

It didn't felt commercial at all, I felt like I'm doing something good for visiting here and still getting the best knowledge and experience.

It's a must visit, please keep it in your itinerary.

This Museum located in the right side of Kodaikanal City entrance. The cost of the entrance ticket is very affordable they offer some discount for school college students. Spacious two wheeler four wheeler and School van parking area. The Museum contains real stuffed specimens. The details about the specimen also given in Tamil English and Hindi languages. The Museum containing some animals skeleton system also. Very heritage museum most useful for students and researchers. Museum also have drinking water facilities, gents and ladies restroom also available. Usually we may spend 30 to 45 minutes here.

Get ready for GOOSEBUMPS!!! If you are visiting the Kodaikanal then you must visit this Museum. It’s roughly 3kms from the lake. The museum has a variety of animal’s, birds, butterflies, insects and some ancient pottery, coins some bone skeletons of the whale and other big animals and much surprising things to see inside which will give you Goosebumps when you will see it.

The museum is privately owned with some schools and colleges support but it is maintained more good than the big government museums.

The fees for the museum is Rs.30/person which is really worth. You are allowed to take photos inside. Enough parking space is available and well cleaned washrooms are there.
