Savitri Bhavan

Very peaceful place. The place has a very different vibe which can only be understood once you experience it. You would need a bike/scooty to reach here. The car cannot reach this place because there is no proper road, very narrow paths are there. There is a very nice and quiet meditation hall. Highly recommend spending some time there.

Definitely meditate here if you have issues a chance to meditate at the matrimandir.

Very calm and peaceful.

This was the most beautiful museum with no entry fees. The place is quiet and peaceful. The people at reception are very sweet. Although you are not allowed to click the pictures of the paintings but it's a beautiful gallery of all the paintings.

We went around in the evening and I sat in the meditation room. Unknowingly they had a 20 min session to be started. The session involved poetries and the presenter was very sweet to explain about the session and post the session we had a short meditation making it even more serene experience.

If you are around and won't mind knowing more about savitri or just want to explore a museum, you shouldn't miss this one.

A serene and tranquil place dedicated to the epic poem Savitri by Aurobindo. It has resources on Savitri (naturally), 2 small exhibitions (textual and pictorial, on Mother and Aurobindo), and it houses the 400+ incrdible Savitri paintings of Huta - painted under the guidance of Mother. (The staff is really kind.) Recommended!

The architecture is so beautiful, the spaces nicely blend together. Must visit in auroville!

A must visit to understand background and history of Aurobindo, the mother and auroville , next to it is unity centre or pavilion where the peace table is at that's also worthy of checking out.

It's a gallery of photos with vital information about shri aurobindo and the Mother. A tribute to the great Sage. His Statue is placed just outside. If you are in pondichhery aa well as auroville then must visit Savitri bhavan to know more deeper about the concept "Auroville " and shri Aurovindo as well as the Mother.
