Nice collection, few of Radio, gramphone are in working conditions. Camera collection are good. Worth a visit.

Chettinad Vintage Car & Camera Museum

A place for someone who loves to experience Vintage and Modern classic collections.

An initiative by a collection enthusiast Mr. Lakshmanan showcases some of his collections ranging from cigar lighters through cameras and automobiles.

Charges ₹100 for adult and the staff briefs about the collection. They have in display a number of categories ranging from Vintage to Modern classics. Some of the items which drew my attention were cigar lighters, radios, clocks, miniature toys, audio equipments 🔊cameras 📷 and automobiles 🚘.

My favorites among automobiles were the well kept Morris Minor, a Jeep (World War fame) and the imported Lambretta scooter.

There were some Modern classic tape recorders, audio decks and film rolls which triggered the nostalgia.

The location is opposite to the Pillaiyarpatti temple entrance and sign boards with phone numbers are displayed all the way.Make sure you are not visiting during special days of the temple as the open lands near the museum will be converted to parking slots and traffic is diverted.

With a lot of opportunities for improvement,  the place is worth a visit to understand the transitions happend in technology over the years.

Good collection of different types of camera. The museum has very well maintained vintage cars and scooters ( but numbers are less). The museum curator is so passionate about the items kept there. Only drawback is the place lacks a museum like feel because of the shed like building and the cramped shelf arrangement of items. Entry ticket will cost INR 100 for an adult and INR 50 for a child.

Nice place to visit. Recently built Musium with old car collection and camera. Entry fee quite high. I am not have any idea about restroom facilities.

This place has lot of assorted vintage items such as old cameras, radios, clocks and cars. They allow visitors to take photographs. You will love this place if you're Vintage enthusiast! 📷

Very good one man collection. Lot of antique Intresting things to see and learn. Awesome place
