The museum is very good. But the maintenance of the fort and the Sagar is not good at all. But View from there was pretty reasonable. You can go there formerly.

It's a must visit place in Alwar. This museum has a collection of wide range of historical items, from all time period, ancient to modern from Mughals to Rajputs, various types of swords and firearms, an ample collection of paintings of Rajasthani style. Also the interior of the museum has been renovated. Truly a great place to visit

Located on the top floor of the City Palace which houses a number of government offices including a district courts complex, it takes a while to reach this museum.
You have to climb up at least four floors but they are all on an incline.
You'd be mesmerized by the amazing collection of artefacts. From intricate sandalwood, ivory & silver items they've got everything.
The most famous is of course the swords of Mughal Emperors Akbar & Jehangir. They also have swords of Shah Abbas of Iran and Nadir Shah Durrani of Afghanistan.
Best time to visit would be over a weekend when the government offices are closed.
