Salim Ali Museum

This museum is named as Dr Salim Ali interpretation center. This is heart of this Bird sanctuary

This place is inside the Bharatpur bird sanctuary and dedicated to the bird watched Mr. Salim Ali. He was an observer and collection of bird facts. A very interesting place for the travellers as it provides knowledge and facts about the birds coming on India during the winter season and Indian migratory birds. The inside us very beautifully designed with artificial birds, nest, glass backgrounds, etc. to explain the nature if the habitat. A must see place for knowledge and facts about the birds whom you will see hate for the first time. Happy birding in Bharatpur!

Highly recommended to learn about India's great bird man and his contribution to this bird sanctuary but they can put more focus on maintenance

Excellent study for ornithology students. Stuffed section is very authentic. The range of birds from older times precedes current visits by migrating birds. Museum offers all in one place. Water hyacinth is chocking the water. Migratory visitors are lessening. Number of species too is rapidly decreasing. Still sightings are rewarding. Rare ruby ducks, imperial eagle, are two I hv seen. Green turtle sunning on dry branches is authentic. Pythons are protected, healthy and rich in colour. However mindless visitors are spoiling the pristine condition.stay is within the sanctuary. So when live sightseeing is not happening go to the museum.be warmly dressed during the season.

I visited here about 24 December

there are many birds wallpaper and idol of Salim Ali which was famous bird lover in India.
so Museum name is Salim Ali museum.

there are are facilities as water bathroom also available,.
but bathroom was so dirty.
no attention on cleaning of bathroom,

but all was also ok you should also visit here.

Cool and peaceful feeling there.
