RAILWAY MUSEUM HUBBALLI

A fantastic effort by Railway Ministry to showcase a brief history of Indian Railways. It is neata and clean. Specially children will like this place a lot. Also they have toy train for the kids. Cafeteria and washroom also available.

Railway Museum is located towards Gadag road around 1.5 Kms from Hubli city centre - Kittur Rani Chennamma Circle. Museum showcases the heritage of Indian Railways with exhibits and artefacts from past decades. Its a must visit for those who loves to travel in trains and are eager to know about the railways and its heritage. Railway engineering students will get a lot of information on their subjects as well. Basic tourist facilities like cafeteria, drinking water, toilets and parking are available at this premises.

If you want to spend an evening with kids or if you want to show an ideal sightseeing place to your guests in Hubballi, then you are at the right place.

The place is both an amusement and educational place. There is a toy train for the kids to enjoy which work as push pull train. And there is a lot to learn about railway terminologies like signals, tracks, guards, equipment and much more.

It was really great visiting the railway museum @hubballi. Ticket issuing, signalling, lane changing etc and much more, all the process from when it started and the working of all these has been described in a detailed way. The history of railway and it's modernization has been shown here.

Though it starts only in the afternoon ot stood place for any train enthusiasts. The 15 min video show is also good. It small and will not take much time. But a good effort from railways
