Nicolas Roerich (Nikolai Roerich) was a Russian painter, who also wrote poetry and made Naggar his home for the last few years of his life. He travelled extensively through Tibet and the Himalayas. Nicolas Roerich’s old home has now been converted into the Roerich Museum. He lived here from the late 1920s till 1947.
Nicolas Roerich had varied interests and was also known to be a writer, philosopher, archeologist, explorer and mystic.
The museum here is small but well-maintained; it has paintings made by the artist and philosopher on display. It is a very tranquil place located just above the main market in Naggar. The upper floor of the house is in a fragile state, and hence tourists are not allowed inside. The interiors can be seen through glass panels of closed windows. The most popular paintings in the museum are those with colourful nature landscapes, capturing the grandeur of the mountains.

This is a must visit place for art lovers and people who enjoy knowing their history. Beautiful studio and an amazing setting. The beautiful white House is straight out of a fairy tale surrounded by greenery, mountains and the amazing view of River Beas and the town of Naggar

It is Museum and Art gallery of a Russian artist cum scientist this was his residence back then. We visited here on a rainy day so the weather was cold and surroundings became eerie, not in a scary way but still the places where someone had lived once is like this. There are his rooms maintained as they were then and his work place, lab also have all the items in the glass boundary. This place is on a mountain so I will suggest to go on foot to really enjoy the mountains and nature.

There is absolutely nothing.

For nothing they snatch from tourists Rs 50 per person plus camera fee.
They even can't allow tourists to enter the museum.

The staff are racist and very rude to Indian tourists while their behavior changes towards foreign tourists.

Lots and lots of useless walk in the woods without any direction or any guidance, directions or facilities for tourists.

Don't ever visit this place.

Roerich Art Gallery is located about a km away from Naggar, The Castle. On the way one can see the Tripura Sundari Temple.
A must visit place for Art lovers. General visitors will also find this place serene, scenic and interesting. It affords an excellent view of the valley. Entry ticket Rs 50/- Lunch 13:00hrs - 1400 hrs. This road also leads to Roerich Tribal Museum and the Zipline.

It's an art gallery. So not a place for all. Only those who have deep interest in paintings should visit. The paintings are well made (from the eyes of a non-creative and a non-artist like me). I am not capable of commenting more on anyone's art piece as I don't understand much.

There is a bit of history too at this place. Paintings of Nicholas can also found in the Parliament house. You get to see his vintage car in the same place. Photography is not allowed (and rightly so as there are many copycats out here). You have to pay Rs 50 per person for the entry. I would have preferred Rs 20 though :-)

Overall something new and interesting, so would surely recommend a visit.

Mesmerizing Memorial collection of thing used by Nicholas Roerich and his relatives like book, cars, dinner table, cloths etc. this place is very beautiful where you can take lots of pictures. From the place you can see mountains covered with snow also. This place is divided into 2 parts. I part where you take ticket and see place where Nicholas Roerich stay along with his belonginess. Other part you need to climb way staircases to visit Museum where lots of paintings and you can see Himachal culture things. Both pace have 1 valid ticket only. When you climb via staircases you can see beautiful garden and lot of greenery. There are few bench for rets also. Overall Mesmerizing place contains Nicholas Roerich memories, Himachal culture experience and nature beauty.
