Pandonagar village museum

A Rashtrapati Bhawan (राष्ट्रपति भवन) is also here in the Pandonagar village. This was the hut like home then in 1952 when Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, visited this place and stayed one night here. This Pandonagar was adopted by the then President, these Tribe men given a home each with bullocks to start farming and staying here away from the up mountain.
The one oldest women who claims to be of 105 years, still recalls the meeting with the President and vivid details of those eventful times. It was my privilege to talk her and see the bright glimpses in her eyes, as if they are focused in long distance, reminding her of those younger days and the change she was witnessing then..
