This Museum is run voluntarily by the Karbi Cultural Society (KCS). All the materials are collected and preserved for the future references. As it is currently going through initial phase, the collection of materials for displaying in the museum is less. Being the highlander tribe most of the Karbi tribe related materials are related with woodcraft and bamboo craft. The Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) is trying hard to collect all the items used by the Karbi tribe to be displayed at this museum, but due to low on their financial resource, the materials collection seems to be very rare. It is heard that the building is donated by partly by the local politician and is planning to start the first floor also. This is a good sign. With more and more matured youths are seen showing interest in the field of culture and folk, we may see more materials including expansion of this museum. Overall a worth visit.
