One of the place to Visit in kkd

For sure, they have best collection of artefacts. Statues, Coins, litterateur, books, pottery, one canon on display, very unique 10th century Nataraja idol, Huge Shiva statues with Nandi. On entering Vinayaka statue welcomes you. Govt can maintain it better and promote it big way.

(Visited in July 2019) - Very small museum with a single room & few exhibits (items/artefacts displayed) that would not take even 5 minutes. Entry is free (of charge) and staff are helpful & non-fussy. I've found some interesting artefacts displayed - Palm manuscripts of Mahabharata's Adi Parvam, a copper inscription by Chalukya Saktivarma, Carving of Chalukya Veerabhadra etc. Worth visiting if interested in History. Only wish it was bigger...

It is a a very small museum yet well managed.
Staffs are very co-operative but can't speak Hindi or English.
It needs little more funding from Govt for its upkeep and for preservation of our history.

If you are a localite and little interested in history, Do visit the place in your free time (Takes 10 to 15 minutes on your time) and learn about Palm Leaf Manuscripts, early historic pottery, terracotta figurines, Coins, Copper Plate inscriptions, arms & weapons and you can see some stone sculptures, that are erected on pedestals in front of the museum.
There is no any entry fee and is open from 10.30 A.M to 5.00 P.M and closed on Fridays and Public Holidays.
