Small One Hall museum in a remote serene place with a lot of statues and Siva Lingas lying outside in open air.
* Friendly staff eager to show and explain. * Beautiful statues mostly from 12th Century AD. * 2nd Century AD Buddha Statues are added attraction. * A couple of Stone Age Tools are also on display. * Siva Lingas of different sizes, and colors made of of different rock types with signature markings indicating time line under different Kings are interesting. * One really interesting Siva Linga is the DHARA LINGA, with 32 faces chiselled apparently by the nails of the sculptor. * Most interesting and disappointing (not on display yet) are the recently unearthed 55 Buddha Statues, including the one statue seemingly made of Gold or Panchaloha. They are sealed in a locker for now. Still processing of these statues and time-line determination is not done yet.

There are mentionins of this place in multiple texts and stone insceiptions detailing from choulas, pallavas and satavahanas. It is believed that Yeleswara (Shiva) Swamy Temple belonged to that era. Recent digging in nearby river have unearthed multiple boudha stupas and miniature boudha vigrahas.

Archaeological excavations here have uncovered a magnificent historical treasure...
Excavations here have unearthed many Veeragallu, Satigallu Shivalingas, Panapattas and various idols of deities...
The place is also a former Buddhist residence and there is a Buddhist stupa here...
Some marble sculptures of the Bildoom religion have lighted...
