Lajwanti Talkies

This place is only for middle class people. Not good for family, couples and kids. Only comfort for male viewers. It is small town cinema hall not clean, not well Staffs. No reservations required. Toilets are messy , seats are broken. No food court. It has a small parking area.

This is the only theatre in Bishrampur which entertain local people's by showing all new movies after released or the date of release . There are three seating areas namely Lower, Balcony and Box. The main point I want to describe is online ticket purchasing facility. It is well maintained by the staffs. It is much more closer to Bishrampur railway station which is approx 1 KM from railway station & 0.5 KM from Bishrampur bus stand.

This movie hall was built in 80s with latest cinema features at that point of time. I remember, as a kid I went there with my parents to watch some very good movies. I also remember going their to watch my school sponsored cinema trip with my classmates. 80s and entire 90s was a time when video cassette industry had completely destroyed the business's of movie halls. In bishrampur I remember, there was one more cinema hall "Jyoti" (another excellent cinema hall at that point of time) which shuts down its business due to unviable business opportunities. Lajwanti on other hand continued its struggle and bacame a legendary theatre in Chattisgarh. Good to know that it is still there and entertaining the new generation in its 4th decade of existence. In case I visit Bishrampur would like to visit this place again.

The only cinema hall in the town Bishrampur, Chhattisgarh, serving for the entertainment of local people. Seats are ok. Sound system is ok too. No food. Ample parking. Mostly new Hindi movies are screened here.
