One of the oldest mosques in the city of Chennai, located in Mannady. Very spacious mosque with facilities for offering prayers by Muslim ladies also. Since it is located amidst the shopping area of Mannady, this mosque is very easily accessible for shoppers to offer their prayers on time... this street has lot of shops offering burqas, Islamic books, caps, perfumes and Islamic goods.

One of the oldest mosques of Madras constructed by NAWAB WALLAJAH in the 17th century. The plaque here translates that Madihur Rasool Sadaqatullah Appa Rali..'s grandson requested NAWAB for this masjid and was constructed. It can house around 3000 people and has an in-house madarasa. You can feel the architectural skills of the Nawab of Carnatic through the elevated roof and high minaret. Really a peaceful place to pray.
