I visited the Manikapatna Mosque at the end of last December. The only mosque near Gabakunda. The mosque is a 5km distance from Manikapatna ferry ghat. Gabakunda Ferry ghat is a 2.5km from here. The seaside part of the great Chilika lake is just in front of the mosque. The road is a bit narrow. The compound of the mosque is quite large. It seems that a part of the mosque is under construction. The prayer hall is so clean and well decorated with colourful marvel and tiles. An old tree is at the gate of the mosque. The shadow of the tree looks like the blessing of the almighty. We sat under the tree and drank water to overcome our tiredness. The priest welcomed us and shared a few words about the mosque.

I saw on Thursday so many pilligrims In this religious place especially its looks beautiful nice lighting. Beside chilika lake and very close to sea.
