Usmania Masjid

The Usmania Masjid was built in early 20th. century for students of the than Govt . Mohammedan High School (now Govt. Multipurpose Higher Secondary School), at the base of the Mal Tekri to enable them to offer the prayers.This small but beautiful masjid resembles the historical Jama Masjid of Delhi. It has spacious courtyard and in the middle lies hauze(tank) .In recognition of major support rendered in establishment of educational institution and beautiful mosque by the Nizam of Hyderabad” Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII”, this Masjid was named" Osmania Masjid."

One of the oldest and biggest Masjid of Amravati. Very helpful for Musafirs. Very near to Main Bus stand Amravati.
Built in era of Mughals. Design is as like Jama Masjid Delhi.
Very nice atmosphere. Hostel facility is also available. I used hostel in 2002 for my PMT Classes. Useful for students.

Wonderful place, built by Nizam Sarkar before 150 years, Masjid has very big area to pray and feel historic feelings... If you go to Amravati Usmania Ground near bus stand give a visit definitely...
