Muchunthi Masjid

Amazing architecture which made my mouth fall open.

The ancient mosque located in kuttichira. The muchunti inscription belongs to 13th century is the most important attraction. Women not allowed to enter inside the mosque.

One of the oldest masjids of Calicut, Kozhikode Kerala. The Images of the masjid indicates the oldness of it. It's supposed to be almost 1200 years old. It's not a Juma masjid but just for only daily namaz. There is a stone sculpture of a strange letters. No one could read and understand the whatabouts of the stone. The language is supposed to be 'vattezhuth'...

Mashallah. 13th century masjid. Very welcoming people there. Situation very close to Kozhikode railway station.
