Cheenadath Juma Masjid

This shrine is believed to be built over the tomb of Chinese muslim mariner and admiral Zheng He (1371–1433 C.E).It is said that, he fell ill and passed away in Kozhikode in 1433 C.E, during the course of his last voyage (the seven "Treasure voyages" organised by Ming dynasty of China).However,there are no written evidence to support the belief that the tomb belongs to Zheng He.The name -Cheenadath maqam suggests that this shrine is built over the tomb of a Chinese person.At present,a wooden casing has been kept around the original tomb.
It is believed that two other Chinese,belonging to his fleet are also interred in the premises of the shrine.An annual remembrance festival (urs) is celebrated from 9 th to 17 th of the month of Safar.(the second month of Hijri calendar).The adjoining mosque was renovated in 2009 and upgraded into a Jum'a mosque.It has been renamed Masjid 'Umar ibn 'abd al-aziz.

This masjid is located at pacangad,near puthiyangadi.
Under this committee many charity and educational events and institutions are running.
