It is a coastal region and hence has a tropical humid climate. It is influenced by the South West Monsoons.

The region has moderate vegetation. The beach here is a main attraction which brings tourists from all over the world.

It's one of the main place to visit in Chavakkad area, it has very high historical importance, also has good parking space.
