It the oldest mosque of this historic village situated on the banks of Kashmir's largest canal viz Budshah canal, that was built by him and irrigates a vast land of two districts of valley viz Bandipora and Baramulla. There in the vicinity of this mosque is New JAMA masjid of the village which absorbs 1000+ persons in congregational prayers . There is also a spring known as Faiz e Aam Spring which is very old and it's water is crystal clear , lucid and sweet . Its waters are more peace providing and refreshing when in a hot summer day one comes to the village from a long tour or a tiring day job or work. The people here are very hospitable and literacy rate is good.

Oldest Jamia masjid in onagam village. It hasn't much space . Another jamia masjid has been constructed near it , to reduce overcrowding. It has been renovated.
