The Kabuli Bagh Mosque is a mosque in Panipat which was built in 1527 by the emperor Babur to mark his victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi at the first Battle of Panipat in 1526. The mosque located in Panipat is named after Kabuli Begum, Babur's wife, it's well neat and clean and even sprinklers is used in gardens, but local people don't know it's history and importance, it's used just like most of the monument , best spot for young boys to have gossips , eat n hv fun, and it's open throughout the day, nearly 10 minutes away from dargah bu ali shah, and it's well maintained from inside and outside

The mosque located in Kabul Bagh Colony, Panipat, a distance of 2 kilometres from Panipat town.. From Panipat bustand take battery rickshaw and deboard at barbari masjid or kabuli colony.. It is very beautiful and extremely magnificient mosque build in octaganol shape and decorated arches.. The well built structure is enhanced by octagonal towers perched on its corners.. The gateway is placed on the north and is built of red sandstone bricks..

The entrance is adorned by a lintel bracket opening, sheathed in a massive arch and the spandrels are also festooned with arched indentation, enclosed in rectangular panels.. The main prayer hall is formed in a square shape with annexes on the sides, and the elevated frontage has been designed with separate panels plastered with lime..

The place is not in very good condition but is taken care of.. People go there for morning walk and children used to play..

The Kabli Bagh Mosque was built by Babur to commemorate victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi in the First Battle of Panipat (1526 AD). The mosque, situated inside an enclosure having octagonal towers on its corners, has its entrance on the north. The gateway, built of bricks with red sandstone, consists of a lintel bracket type opening encased in a huge arch, the spandrels of which are decorated with arched recesses encased in rectangular panels. The main prayer hall, square in shape, has annexes on sides and its high façade is divided in panels plastered with lime. Each of the annexes has nine bays that are crowned with hemispherical domes resting on low drums. Humayun, after defeating Salim Shah, added a masonry platform known as Chabutra-i-Fateh Mubarak. It bears an inscription dated 1527 AD that records the name of the king and other details about its builders.
