Yet another architectural beauty built by Mahmud Begada, this mosque was for one of his queens - Rani Rupmati. It's very near to the Muhafiz Khan Mosque.

Rani Rupmati's Tomb and Mosque built in 15th century is an artistic monument with heritage value located after St Xavier's school and before District Court premises in old Ahmedabad. Google takes you there.

Very well visible from main road is the structure as no prominent board is displayed. Who needs one as the monument speaks louder...

View the pictures attached to know the history and it's significance. Though not visited by most tourists it's a must visit place in Ahmedabad.

Unique is the three dome structure and supportive minarets and protruding balconies. Heavily sculpted they are eyes delight. You can easily spend half an hour observing and being in the majestic monument. Have a tour on the outer side external walls seeing the sculpted windows, balconies and protruding minarets.

The local community people are very supportive once they are informed you are a tourist and guide you if assistance is sought. Observe their rules and maintain decorum, your visit would be worthwhile.

Though a lot to pen down but a visit is more fruitful then reading reviews.

Enjoy.

Quite a nice masjid & maqbara.
Walk to the back of the masjid to see the overhanging balcony etc.

The mosque is spectacular and beautiful but not treated according to archaeological norms. Too many modern constructions/additions around and inside its complex. It's clean and cared to satisfactory level. People of all religions are treated well.

This is a must visit mosque. The architecture is different than the usual mosques. One wouldn't realise it's a mosque unless one reads the sign board.
