History of Hojai says that this Masjid or Mosque is standing here since the British rules in India, earlier these places was barren land and British Government approved the land to built a Masjid there for spiritual practices and for maintaining total harmony. During that period hundreds of Muslims were brought from different parts of undivided Bangladesh to work as labour and against which land were distributed for their stay in the surroundings areas with an employment rights, thus those people got permanently settled here and Masjid was established. Initially this masjid was like a hut and at present this Masjid is the largest in Hojai district of Assam.
Namaj and Waqaat is performed every day here. On friday the Masjid road becomes like a Pilgrim centre. The tower of the Masjid can be seen from far away places also. Hojai railway station is just 1 km away from it. Inside of the Masjid is very neat and clean and beautiful also. Visitor may pretty well visit the place for a new experience. Happy visit.....
