Perarignar Anna Memorial

Visited many times it seems to be fine., Its good place for family to visit in-terms of weekend time spending along with #beach.
There are some statues of #tamilPoets which is really appreciated and #Annadurai the #CM is one of the most praised leader and his achievements have been portrayed in #AnnaMuseum which is near to it.
It is a #pleasant place filled with #trees #gardenings etc its been quite good for #nature lovers too.

Anna Memorial, locally known as Anna Samadhi or as Anna Square, is a memorial structure built on the Marina beach in Chennai, india. It was built in memory of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu , C. N. Annadurai  (1967–69), who was cremated here in 1969. The memorial lies on the northern end of the Marina abutting the MGR Memorial.

Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi memorial is also located here only, after a long struggle the DMK party got the place for constructing the memorial of former Chief Minister after his demise both memorials are nicely maintaining by the government and GCC.

Anna memorial seeing this place from my childhood being in chennai we had no choice to see other than this place and Marina beach those days being a 80’s kid 😊

If you visit the marina beach of chennai then this is the must visit place of you. This area is not so much spacious. Only 20 minutes will be more than enough to roam whole area. Structural view of this area was awesome. I recommend this place to visit.

The memorial lies on the northern end of the Marina abutting the mgr memorial, the burial place of Karunanidhi's archrivals, M. G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa.

Excellent place for relaxation in the Mariana beach way. Well kept place. Well designed garden and memorial sculpture

This place makes a nostalgic feel about our Anna!

And the night drive to this place is most beautiful
