Medical College Kolkata

I went there for my Fistulectomy (It's the process of ablation of Fistula Tract). Earlier I had Laser Surgery in a Private Hospital, but my fistula reoccurred. The surgery went well. This place has one of the best doctors of the country. So we can rely on them blindly. But the toilets of this hospital are very unhygienic and dirty due to lack of maintenance. But the OTs are very clean, and it had the best machines and instruments. Thanks to my Doctor's Team, I hope I'll recover fully this time.

It is the oldest existing hospital in Asia. The institute was established on 28 January 1835 by Lord William Bentinck during British Raj as Medical College, Bengal.It is the largest and one of the best hospitals in West Bengal. It is located near College Street and well connected with other parts of Kolkata through Bus / taxi.

Most doctors are well qualified and well experienced. Modern and sophisticated medical equipments are available here. High quality treatment including medicines are free here. Lower level staffs are not that helpful though.

The medical College offers MBBS, postgraduate and postdoctoral courses in most of the broad speciality and super speciality branches. Students of nursing and paramedical courses are also trained in this institute.

Facilities are good. Infrastructures are getting better every day. Wards are cleaner than before. They clean the wards twice every day. New infrastructures are being built all around. But due to huge demand it is difficult to get beds sometimes. ATMs are being constructed inside the hospital premises. Paid and free resting rooms are available for relatives of the patients. Purified water supply points area available at various locations inside the hospital complex. Good diagnostic centre is available inside. Facility of CT scan, MRI , dialysis etc.are also available.

It is the second oldest medical college to teach Western medicine in Asia after Ecole de Médicine de Pondichéry and the first institute to teach in English language. The hospital associated with the college is the largest hospital in West Bengal. The college offers MBBS degree after five and a half years of medical training.

Oh it's the pride of West Bengal. The medical College hospital Kolkata is one of the most premier institute of India in medical education and hospitality.
Gone there for document verification process. The movement of crowd for betterment of them or their relatives really seems a dream sitting in the opposite side of the table.
The big campus, Heritage building, separate buildings for separate departments, rush of doctors and nurses and location is the thing one can cherish upon with.
From the hospital point of view as it is a govt hospital so fees are much much low, govt schemes can also be accepted.
The book market store in the College Street of a cherry on cake for the students.

Calcutta Medical College and Hospital is a historically important hospital and medical college in West Bengal. It also has many names as a medical college. People from many districts of West Bengal come here for treatment. All kinds of diseases are treated here. The behavior of doctors and nurses here is very polite.

It's one of the important government medical colleges and research institutes. It's a very big campus and different varieties of people from different backgrounds like cardiology, kidney etc are present.

Location wise it's situated near Central metro station near College Street.

Overall as it's a government institute, the cost is pretty less and with the induction of the Swastha sathi card it's quite affordable too.

This is really proud for our west bengal but unfortunately ,lack of proper management and proper inspection, it will be going very bad position.
The line infornt of medicine counter is just enormous(started from 3rd floor to ground floor) and the line infornt of ticket's counter just dangerous but there are also a solution for skipping tickets counter line,i.e. online ticket booking from West Bengal health Center website.
Doctors are too much good and very mature in their profession and very efficient .
