Trade Center, Sutarkandi

It's a border gate between India and Bangladesh and a trade zone. I know about India side only. There are so many trucks parked, to carry goods like coal, cloth, aracae nut, paan etc. There are not much things to see, there is a emigration office, a BSF check post and border barb wire. There are 2 check/ watch tower, climbing that is prohibited. Hopefully, in coming days, it will become more popular with tourists. No eateries nearby. But you can get small shops while coming to the gate (about 3km away).

This trade center has totally been damaged because of corruption. If this trade center was opened, then it would be very good for Kxj people.
I slam the past as well as the present government that they have done nothing for such an important center. Just fighting for votes will not help you form a government. You should do for us as we have elected you by our precious votes. JAI HIND ! BHARAT MATA KI JAY !

One of the head custom officer is very corrupted. His behaviour with traveller is so bad.he show the people ,he is so professional and strict, but beyond of his character he is king of corrupted people. you don't pay him any money ,then he stop the traveller and keep them waiting hour and hour until you offer them some money.i have been traveling so many countries,but I am never seen that type of corrupted custom services in the world.
But in this border all of the bsf are so respectful and very good people.they are very helpful and kind for the traveller. I am really happy to meet and greet with them. They are service are ten on ten.

It's a trade centre and border between two countries. No initiative from government for the upliftment of such a vital place. It's in a very bad shape. Most of the time there is no electricity and toilets are in miserable condition.
