Eastern Railway Workshop Jamalpur

It is India's one of the largest diesel engine locomotive workshop. Wheels are also manufactured here. Around 5000 workers are employed everyday. It worth visiting the workshop if you are around.
Usually during the Vishwakarma Puja, the workshop is opened for everyone. There is railway Colony for the workshop staffs as well. School and hospital is also available for the staffs. The hospital service is also good and the school is one of the best school in the area.

Nice place and it is under Ministry of Railways.

Went there on Vishwakarma Puja. It has become a zero waste workshop, which means that you'll find a lot of statues and models built using the wastes generated. The parks have been renovated. The IRIMEE garden has also been renovated and you can sit there too.
