Stayed at Shivapriya for 3 nights when visiting Srirangapatna. Located close to the river and Ranganatha temple, the lodge is recommended for those who want a clean budget place to stay in while at Srirangapatna. Managed by attentive staff, the focus is on ensuring that the essentials are taken care of. The room, toilet and bed were clean. Hot water was available. This is strictly a lodge and visitors will need to arrange for food elsewhere. That said, you do have restaurant options nearby. Located slightly off the highway, one does not have to suffer the vehicle noise. There is no air conditioning but the fan worked fine. The room rent rates were reasonable. There is space to park 2-3 cars right in front of the lodge. There is insufficient power back up. Be ready to go power less if the main line goes kaput for more than 1 hour (and it does). Do inspect the room before checking in.
If you are looking for creature comforts, advise staying away from this or any of the lodges in Srirangapatna. You are likely to have better options in Mysore and you can always drive down.

If you are looking for creature comforts, advise staying away from this or any of the lodges in Srirangapatna. You are likely to have better options in Mysore and you can always drive down.
