Mussoorie Library

My experience inside the library was great there were many great books to read from classic fiction to encyclopaedia. The books were organised proplerly and the environment was silent and clean
Although it was a shame that I couldn't read any book(not a local).

The iconic building of Mussoorie library that was constructed in 1843 is going to be lit up with facade lights in order to make this historic building an attraction for the tourists.

Lights would make this historic building look very attractive. I am sure this would help attract tourists to the area...

Really love this place gives a good vibe too don't forgot to visit near by kempty fall and dhanaulti in winters and I will recommand Nanital looks more beautiful

I have been to mussoorie, it is a place where you find peace with natures all around you. While travelling to mussoorie I have seen many things which can only been seen there like the fog which seems to be seeing like sea of clouds from the top. Mussoorie has various different places which you find interesting, one of them was place named 'lal tibba' there you can see the best sunset in which the sky see red which is very beautiful. I have also been to place named clouds end where it is so refreshing and you should go in early morning to see the sunrise and the moving clouds. Mussoorie is also known as 'Queen of hills' because there are many beautiful hills out there with the beautiful blanket of white snow covered all over it. Snow fall in mussoorie is very beautiful which attracts many tourist around the corners of world to see the beauty of the place. Everyone should experience once in a lifetime visiting to mussoorie with friends and family. My experience was fun and exciting. I love this place and would love to vist again.
Its a very beautifull hill station people came here from different states to spend their holidays and enjoyed at this beautifull place. The temperature of this place is always good. It has many beautifull places inside the town suCh as lake etc.

A junction type place where it has all kinds of positive and things to improve. First - Mahatma Gandhi Statue, Next- Beautiful scenic view, Lockers availability, Restaurants to eat. Cons - Too much of public, clutch smell of cars, many middle men who confuses you etc.

The library was amazing 😍😍😍. The library is still preserved as it was handed by Britishers to us and every inch of work shelf book or any other is still there in good condition which was made by Britishers. They have given their culture to us in a very beautiful manner.💖

Mussoorie Library is the oldest literary landmark in this hill station, founded only seventeen years after the town itself.

For the past 172 years the library has maintained its presence at the head of the Mall Road, overlooking the crossing at Gandhi Chowk.

A private institution governed by a society of members, the library is not open to the public.

These photographs provide a rare glimpse of the interior, with its reading rooms and bookcases full of musty volumes from an earlier era.

This place is one of the oldest building on the Mussoorie hill station.

Established in 1843, the Library has an elegant presence and a major attraction at the gandhi chowk.

However, only the library members are allowed not tourists, but you can hang around to explore the place and visit other nearby spots which I must say are beautiful.

The place is situated at a crossroad, so it will have heavy traffic most of the times.
