Bhadariya Library

This place is hard to find on the map as well as a very less known but very interesting off-beat Tourist destination. It's one of Asia's Biggest Underground Library. I managed to see just 1/4th of it which took me approx. 35 mins to cover that too without stopping to get a good look of the books. Just imagine the size and the number of books neatly placed in the shelves was around 9-10 lakhs. That count doesn't include the collection which is not placed in the shelves. Books from all over the world spanning even before WW1 can be found here.

that's so weird, you cannot read in library, books are showpiece here, disvaluing of goods. when i listen about this library i was so excited, started planning to go from Lucknow to Rajasthan but when i read that, they looked books, it's so upsetting to me. anyways if you want to click photos for Instagram you can visit.

An underground library- 18 feet below surface. Spread over 16000 sq ft corridor. Underground storage provides temperature and humidity control.
It has over two lakh titles (about nine lakh books due to multiple copies). They are kept in 562 almirahs and 18 rooms.
Library does not issue books, however you may be allowed to read them in a hall above.
It is a stupendous task to construct such facilities in this remote village.

Situated under ground level, this library is a masterpiece. It houses millions of books ranging from a variety of genre. Like

4. Christian literature
5. Criminal Laws
6. Indian Laws
7. Economics
8. Geography
9. Mathematics
10. Dictionaries of all indian and foreign language like Arabic
11. Medical
12. Politics

The books are well maintained and are just on display. You cannot read any book like a general library. They have locked it up.

One must visit this place if possible. It showcases the wide variety of Indian subcontinent.

Wow! I didn't see such a rich library and that's in far desert. A very big salute to the person who thought and done it.
