Albert Edward Institute Library

Great place to sit and study for exams... It's a heritage building Primely located opposite the renowned kayani bakery on the East Street. The collection of books they have here is unmatched... You could possibly find the rarest of rare books in the shelves... But the management of library is one of the worst I've ever seen.... There's no categorisation of books and upon entering you will find yourself lost in a random jungle of giant book shelves.. Timeless books are deteriorating and no one seems to be concerned about it. The library manager is a grumpy guy who is no help in finding any book whatsoever. Most of the shelves are vintage but shabby and in dire need of generous upkeep. The reading room is rather dimly lit as per my standards at least but the complex also has a garden in the backyard where one can sit and read in natural light where i sought my solace. In a nutshell, the place has got everything to be an iconic library and be known nation-wide but sadly the place is enduring the blows of overlooking and marginalization instead like any other Indian heritage site.

Its a great place to study.. but the manager of the library is not supportive.
And there is a lot of mismanagement.

Library is good but the manager is very unprofessional, rude and horrible. I really don't understand that how can such person is hired to manage such place of immense cultural importance..5/5 for him on being unprofessional on a scale where 5 is highest.... And one more thing. don't ever expect to get your security deposit.
