First you need to take membership. Only after membership they'll allow you to enter. Membership is given only to army personnel and their dependent. Please note they'll not allow you to enter even if you have dependent card.

I have read dozens of books from Army Command Library, Poona 2004 - 2005.Though it had good books both fictional & nonfictional of Indian authors such as Sir V.S. Naipaul, Mr.David Davidar,Vikram Seth which I found very unwholesome because they were as old as twenty years or more all, being of old edition.It is of unmistakable importance that the all libraries especially the armed forces one should have new books of new authors & also new editions. To replenish these books so that a intecllual aristocracy of thoughts can be generated amongst yougth & officers . Because it is imperative to measure today by the past.The two worlds wars led to the creation of the U.N. for taking steps for peace in this World. I hope books such as Jawaharlal Nehru 's " Glimpses of the world history " & " Discovery of India " which are immortal writing be available there.Though it should be left on the discretion of the reader as how much he sees in these tomes of honourable Nehru ji.
