You'll need some kind of permission letter from your institute to access the library. One of the best collection of books in the field of education. Open till 8pm on weekdays..Saturday- half day.. Has a locker at the entrance for your bag.. Has WiFi.. Has photocopy facility.. Has washroom which is generally clean.. Research section is on the ground floor and other books on the first floor. Staff is friendly and helpful. NLEPT is also in the same building at the 5th floor.

NCERT is an autonomous organisation set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. The major objectives of NCERT are to: undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education; prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc. In addition to research, development, training, extension, publication and dissemination activities, NCERT is an implementation agency for bilateral cultural exchange programmes with other countries in the field of school education. NCERT at its main campus has got very good library in the field of education. It has got a good collection of books & journals. Users visiting NCERT Library may also like to visit NIEPA Library which is located in the same campus and have very good collection of books, reports, journal and periodicals in the field of educational planning and management.
