Established in 1901, the Kodaikanal International School is located in a picturesque environment next to a lake at a height of 7,300 sq ft above sea level in South India. It has been recognized as India's best international residential school for the second year.

True world class international School. Wish I could go back to school again. Wonderful place to get international standard education and culture. The place is a green blanket. Excellent infrastructure which can accommodate student from any part of the globe. Mesmerized by the beauty of this place.

I was a student of KIS not long ago and it was probably the best place I could ever be at. Not only the beautiful environment, but the people truly made it feel like home. I love visiting the school even now. There's a sense of warmth I doubt is common to find in other schools. I would recommend this school to students who are willing to have a new diverse experience. It is always up to us to make the best out of our time spent as students.

A gorgeous campus and location, warm and caring staff, an extremely interesting and somewhat diverse student body, a great education. Who could ask for more? I loved my recent return visit to the school as an alumni. So fun to be part of the annual Field Day festivities!

I am currently studying at this school, trust me and don't choose this school for your kids! This school is slowly becoming a jail and it's like a hell hole. Don't think that I am exaggerating, there is literally no trust between the staff and the kids. I know so many students including me who want to leave the school, trust me Kodaikanal International school is not worth it. I could probably write an extended essay about how the school is extremely terrible, this would probably be the only time where the extended essay won't require any research!

I am speechless to see all the negative reviews here. It has been a year since I joined here as a teacher and I should say that I am living a very meaningful life here. The school has a very relaxed yet professional work culture. Teacher autonomy is highly respected and teachers are never micro-managed. All the school operations revolve around each other's trust. Under the highly capable leadership team - especially Mr. Corey and Mr. Santhosh - the school has been going great guns. Contrary to the common negative reviews here, the school indeed has some great teachers. Please do not trust the negative reviews.

This is one of the worst schools that anybody can go to
Yes,they do have a good campus but no discipline whatsoever. Some weak students are just cornered and no support is given to them. They don't care much about failing a student. Some of the Indian staffs are arrogant and disrespectful.
