The best place to improve yourself...college atmosphere is too good for students it allows student to learn many things only thing is one must be keen to learn new things but to be able to compromise with hostel food.

Picturesque background of Sahyadri mountains, Charmadi hill and Jamalabad for SDMIT....Rare to find this atmosphere elsewhere...

Best engineering college in Dakshina Kannada. Qualified professor's and well equipped labs. Good hostel facility with the greenery surrounding.

Education is good but you will not get lot of opportunities to explore.

IT college campus is good and maintained very well.

In this college, Cultural programs, entertainment programs, or any extracurricular activities are conducted is very less.
And IT college rules are very silly, it feels like we are still in primary school.
The students feel very hectic.

Good thing is companies ( like Infosys, Sonata, Cognizant.. etc) comes for campus selection( but only few companies).
Not all students get selected in campus selection.

I don't recommend this college to students who comes for join this IT college.

Genuine review: A "below average college". Unless your father is bankrupt or running out of money..or you have not secured a decent rank in entrance exam then please don't come here.. scenic wise it is very good but don't forget, you come here to make a future and not a vacation trip.. so make your right choice.. don't run after the brand name as it's placement is a disaster compare to other Bangalore based colleges... I don't have personal grudges with this college as it paved my career as I was lucky enough to be in that 1 out of 100 students.. teachers are very good and humble..very down to earth..but yes..at the end of the day.. placement matters.. so think twice..
