I stayed 1 week with Somit and his team and it has been such a great experience. I could stay with the children of the school and I tought them spanish. It was so nice to be with them and share good moments.

I also enjoyed the food from Bowl of Compassion and it was really tasty, natural and made with love. They have a nice terrasse where you can enjoy a delicious and calmed dinner.

I would recommend everybody that comes to Varanasi to experience not only Somit yoga's training but also their food and what is more important, the school. I was really impressed about this project and I wish them all the best for the future.

I just came for an impromptu dinner, all the food is made fresh (which means I had to wait but nothing beats a book), and it was totally worth it!
The place is part of a broader complexe also providing yoga trainings (look up Yoga Education Training Society), as well as food/education for poor children of Varanasi, so double pleasure to come here!
Go without hesitation

We could choose everything from the menu and they would prepare it fresh. We were the only costumers but the food was amazing, so fresh! The people working here are lovely and do really hard work for the charity. Eating here is a nice way to support them!!

Delicious food. We ate on the rooftop (required walking up 4 flights of steep stairs) where we saw chipmunks and monkeys outside of our little protected area with plants. The food was really good, especially the fried eggplant. I don't recommend the naan, but the chapati was great. The service here was really great and the guy who helped us also helped walk us to the street where we could get a tuktuk easily, since we were in a hurry to go somewhere. These seem like genuinely good people. Would eat here again.

It is a pleasant please to stay, close to the Holy River Ganges. This hostel has social projects which supports poor children with education. They also offer yoga, cooking classes and more. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you and Namaste!

The food was good and the terrace is a nice place to enjoy a bit of silence and calm in such a noisy city. The prices are a bit above average but they have many charity and volunteering projects so you know they end up in the right way. Recommended.
