HOTEL LONG ISLAND

This hotel is situated is at the end of Zakir Hussain road on top of the hill. One can get the mesmerising view of Kanchanjunga peak as well as of Darjeeling from its rooftop. The rooms are spacious. Washrooms are well equipped with all modern amenities. Owner & his wife are amazing personalities. I spent all my early mornings at its rooftop looking at Kanchanjunga as it turns red with the sunrise. This hotel is highly recommended to see the best sunrise of Darjeeling town.

Wish I had enough words to describe my experience. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. The view will take your breath away and the neighbour aunties and the owners will make you feel at home. Truly, you can feel heaven there, in every gesture of every human you meet. Wish we could rent room for an year. Still, I fell short of words to describe how immensely lovable the people were. Wish to visit again. ♥

We had a memorable experience...we got a room with a terrific view overlooking Mount Kunchenzonga towards the north and Tiger hill clearly visible to the east. Just ten minutes from the famous Chowrasta promenade and tasty homemade food available on preorder. The owners were very cooperative and and friendly
; It was a home away from home!

I booked a couple nights at Hotel Long Island and ended up staying for a week. I found the owners to be extremely kind and the room was very comfortable. The location is also nice, perched on a hill with rooftop views of the mountains and within easy walking distance to the main part of town. Next time I find myself in Darjeeling, I'll surely be staying here again!

The couple who were running the hotel were very nice and polite. During our stay we faced power cut many times. You will probably get the best view in entire Darjeeling from the roof of this hotel but this hotel is a little far away from Mall road and situated at a hill top location so unfit people will struggle to reach the hotel.

The room and the bathroom both were very clean! Owner’s behaviour was very good! Most importantly the view was stunning! I will attach photos too! Next time I visit Darjeeling I will try to get a room again!

When you reach hotel room and see the view from there your body automatically relaxed and forget everything. Owner was very friendly, hospitality average, tasty food, room and bathroom was clean & maintained.
