Ramada by Wyndham Darjeeling Gandhi Road

Location is excellent. Right in the heart of Darjeeling, beside most popular eateries and shops and some very historic spots. Entrance of the hotel is not very great and the street in front is often crowded. There no parking available at the hotel and the pool is currently not operational. Cleanliness at the property is not very great. Staff is prompt and courteous. Restaurant is good and the breakfast options are very nice and food quality and taste is good.

To be fair, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a kanchenjunga view from with a balcony. Having said that, the quality of the room and the structure is horrible. We entered the room and the bathroom smelled and there were stains on different parts of the furniture. Although the staff was prompt in their response, from a value for money perspective avoid the hotel in all costs, Mayfair where I booked for myself and my parents including breakfast and dinner had a cheaper tariff and 10x better service, hospitality, infrastructure. Property is taking advantage of being in a good location (just on Mall Road) but it isn't a deal breaker with the amount they charge.

I am totally disappointed.There are many lacks in this so called reputed hotel. Specially security.We stayed here last two days. Yesterday when we went outside this hotel we called the room service for room cleaning but after many hours when we got back to the hotel we surprisingly discovered that our room was open!!!We charged the hotel but all in vein!They didn't clarify!Apart from this room facilities is so poor.This 4 star hotel gives you dental kit on request!It was my first time experience!Even a 2star hotel provided me this kit.If you stays here for 2 or more days you'll only get one day kit (soap,face towel etc.) Location is so good.You can see Kanchenjunga from hotel window.

Location with allied services are the best in entire Darjeeling. In addition they have their own limited parking which was an added bonus for me. Rooms are Ok and not in line with the charges and have cleanliness issues. Service is good but can be better. Food choices are not that great considering a star property.

I had travelled to this place in July. Usually an off season at Darjeeling. After searching through various hotels I found this to be a good choice for the stay. Room with a scenic view cost me 6000 rs per day but the stay was worth it.
The hotel offers a buffet breakfast with an authentic Indian and continental menu which is complimentary. Apart from that food tastes good but on a costlier side. Few items are available 24/7. Staff members are professional and polite. They will make you feel comfortable.

The best location to start your Darjeeling trip! The hotel looks stunning, I've booked a mountain view room, and the view was stunning: one side the Clock Tower, the other side you can see the Kangchenjunga. The room was spacious, well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub. If you book this hotel, don't miss out on their breakfast, 100% worth it, it offers both Indian and intercontinental cuisine, all freshly made. Special thanks to the staff on the reception and the dining services, they really made our vacation carefree and enjoyable!

Date of travel:- 11-1-2023 to 14-1-2023 We booked king size bed room. The location of the hotel is good and is right on mall road. Rooms are spacious with mountain view. Room cleaning is good. Rooms service is also good. Little disappointed with the food. For breakfast we ordered poori and potatoes peas. In the menu card they have mentioned 4 poori in a plate however when we received the order they served 3 poori. On questioning the same they replied that they have not yet changed there menu card which i think was not a practical approach. Secondly peas were not cooked properly and very hard. Second day we order mutton and butter naan. Very disappointed with the preparation of butter naan. Third day we ordered laal maas (recipe of mutton). Initially they said laal maas is unavailable however later they called and said they will serve the same. However seeing the preparation we were very disappointed. The gravy was very salty. By no stretch of imagination it was laal maas. Two times we ordered mutton biryani and that was ok but not very good. So my only grievance is related to food preparation which definitely needs improvement. Rest all good.

I had a 5 night booking at a hotel in Darjeeling but upon arrival I was extremely disappointed with the condition of my hotel. I checked out the same night and checked into the Ramada by Wyndham down to road. My room was excellent, spacious, clean and a large balcony. The food served in the restaurant, the staff and the overall condition of the hotel was top class. I would highly recommend this hotel.
