STAYMAKER The Gharana Hotel and Resort

this resort is located at the outskirts.. if you don't have a personal vehicle, then this resort is not at all recommended..
however if you do have a personal vehicle, this could be one of the bestest resort in whole Bolpur.. very big area with garden, swimming pool and rooms are big and clean.. staffs are very polite and well behaved.. food menu is bit of costly, though quality is good .

Worst hotel ever I had saw in my life.First of all there is no electricity for 24/7 and if electricity gone ac will not going to work.Staff behaviour is not upto the mark specially the receptionist her behaviour is very bad the hotel is located in a extreme bad place where there is no shop so if you want to buy something you have give minimum 500 to Toto and about swimming pool they didn't inform us about the dress have to wear before going for the bath in pool they provides a pant which costs around Rs.80 and they took Rs.100 for wearing that.Lots of insects roaming in washroom, hotel room as well as on hotel corridor.They provide us a bedsheet which is very bad in quality there is lots of holes in it but we didn't complain about that but by mistake something spilts on the bedsheet and they took 400 for that and they didn't provide any bill.
I request everyone please don't book this hotel ever

Good for spent quality time in very silence and peace atmosphere.If you have an own car then this is the best place in Bolpur though its under-constructing.Food price is little bit of high with good quality.wifi and swimming pool also available.

The behaviour of the staff is excellent specially at reception Mr.Mondal is very good. Excellent service with great location. Next time we will stay here again. Come & enjoy the resort.
Last but not the list swimming pool is excellent with music & light the ambiance at night it is very beautiful.

Amazing place to stay. It is located in Village and away from town's population. That's charming part of its location. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is swimming pool and plenty of beautiful space to walk. The service is also good here. Food was delicious.
We had great stay here. Recommended for family and group of friends also.

Why no body should go there?

1. The location was truly interior having no other communication without toto that too not available all the time.

2. The food was so spicy that I had acute abdominal pain with loose motion the next morning.

3. The used bed covers that I was given was too bad smelly with loads of dust making anyone sick instantly!

4. No shops nearby atleast in 3km radius to buy anything if needed in emergency.

5. Power cuts is a huge problem as several hours I could not charge my phone/ laptop. No inverter at all!

6. Last but not the least, during my stay I droped bit of my liquid medicine on the bed sheet and for that they charged 1200/- !!!!! They are just impossible. The covers were easily washable just with water and yet they are making money like this because they don't have much visitors.

7. No brush kit, no shower kit. The hotel is good for nothing!

They said they started this in 2018 and seeing their present state of construction it is visible that due to multiple reasons their business is failing. And they MUST FAIL because they are looting directly!!

Overall experience was good, the staffs were cooperative, good gesture and behavior but only demerit is their location is too far and the food is over priced, it is better not to book this resort if you want to discover the shantiniketan properly, discovering different places and foods because this resort's location is at remote area from where you will get no access to the main city, and the worse service is their toto who charges more than the usual rates in the market, they loot the tourists in the name of packages, please beware of the scam, we have been looted with 2.2k package for 2.5 days tour.
