BrijRama Palace, which stands on the banks of Darbhanga Ghat, is one of the oldest man-made structures in the city and is considered to be luxury hotel in Kashi. One can see the influence of the Maratha Dynasty that was in power during the construction of the palace. This is 210-year-old palace

Brij Rama Palace is a little gem located in the heart of Varanasi.
The hotel is situated 35 mins to 1 hour (based on traffic) away from the main airport. We had the luxury and comfort of an arranged car that pick us up at the airport which made our lives easier.
The most magical part was reaching the hotel by boat after the car dropped us at a Ghat (port). We got the chance of seeing the true Benares by going up the Ganges.

This is truly an ideal place for tourists who want to experience the spiritual side of Benares. The Artis (most important prayers) are held just 3 mins away walking distance from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and extremely kind.
There were musicians playing traditional Indian live music every day. Food was excellent with enough options for both western and Indian cuisine.

The hotel was on the Ganges and the view is just one of the best ones I've ever seen.

Would truly recommend this hotel for all their qualities and attention to detail.

It is a really beautiful palace if you have an eye for architecture, especially the ancient one.
The staff is professional, helpful and most importantly prompt in providing services or solving queries.
Situated at the banks of Darbhanga Ghat, it is one of the oldest man-made structures in the city (as I heard from local shopkeepers).
You will surely enjoy the hospitality here. Food quality is acceptable. They also have Yoga sessions and massage services.

The hotel is a beautiful property. Staff are respectful and helpful. The extras like yoga, dance performance, massage are welcome. Food is vegetarian and no alcohol is served.
The negatives are that it is difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The steps down to the boat that takes you to the road and high and difficult to climb up and down. There is only one restaurant and it cannot accommodate all the guests so if you do get a table you are trapped and forced to wait a while.

This is one of those places that give you an inferior room if you're travelling alone, even though you've paid a full room rate. I'm about to go to bed with no dinner as they could not provide a paper menu and I couldn't get my qr code reader to work. Also don't stay here if you're claustrophobic. My room only has windows onto an internal courtyard. If you open them there is no privacy and mosquitoes can get in.
he service and the meals we had were outstanding. Veg lasagne and some Chinese food and cakes for desert.

Beautiful and clean property. We came as group of 10 under Pallavi Patel and truly enjoyed our stay. At the Resturant, Ankita was pleasant and provided us best service possible. I would suggest to have more staff at the Resturant. In addition our terrace experience was OK. Food was good and staff was very courteous. Suggestion would be to make your guest aware of what food items and courses will be served. Thanks and appreciate your services.
