We checked in this hotel earlier in the month of August. We were given a room with a balcony view of the ghat. The room was quite spacious and well maintained. The bathroom had the basic facilities and was properly cleaned. Although, there was water leakage from the AC but it was manageable. The staff were very good and helpful. The food served by the restaurant of the hotel is very basic. Overall a good experience with the stay! :)

Good hotel with basic amenities, great view being one of the few positives. The hotel can only be reached after walking at least 1Km from the main road. Every time you go out you have to walk at least 1+1 Km from available public transport. The stairs at the hotel are quite steep and there are no ground floor rooms at the said hotel. Hence strictly a NO for elderly and people who can't walk long distances or up and down stairs. They only have ground floor rooms in an adjacent property which also belongs to them. Being a heritage property the rooms with riverview offer great ambience and Varanasi vibe. Food is good. Room service adds 10% service charge to the rates. Good hotel if you're going with friends. Not so good if going with parents or grandparents.

Hotel has very good location near the main ghat, but to get to the hotel you have to walk a little, because no taxi will take you through these narrow streets. View from the hotel room window and balcony is amazing, but sometimes due to the location it can also get a bit noisy. Room comes with complimentary water, slippers, shower gel, shaving kit, toothbrush/toothpaste. Breakfast is served at the rooftop cafe, which also has excellent views to take some pictures. Breakfast itself is mediocre. Overall it is good value if you book well in advance. Would recommend.

I have stayed here for 2 days in last October with my family during our trip to Varanasi. Room condition, cleanliness, staff behavior, food quality, services and amenities provided in the room everything was excellent which ensured a pleasant stay for us. This hotel has excellent Ganga river view rooms. Also, they provide you with excellent service which include providing staffs to each guest while check-in/out from main road to hotel and also for visiting Kashi Vishwanath temple to guide you through the famous lanes of Varanasi. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Varanasi.

One needs to walk in the bylanes of Varanasi to reach the hotel but once when you reach it, it's worth it. The view is amazing and few rooms have balcony towards Ganga. Going down towards Ghat is quite easy too.

the nimad rooms were extremely bad with cry for maintenance.
no ventilation no windows. the bathroom was pathetic.
the suite with river view was good. spacious and a beautiful view of ganga.
enjoyed the sunrise in the morning form the balcony.
good location as it is at the ghats with easy accessibility to the temple.
approach is from the galis of banaras so would refrain to book if with senior citizens.
staff is friendly and helpful.

The place is incredible for its position. It’s right on the rana mahal ghat. From rooftop, the view is incredible. The manager and the entire staff was very helpful and caring. However, the room we got ( Trishool room) was below basic. A small tiny room constructed on top of the main heritage building. The room was small, the bed was comfy. They provided clean towels and toiletries. However, they didn’t provide any housekeeping service. The room and the bathroom was pretty basic as compared to the price we paid. The floors and the doormats were old and dirty. The price was only justified because of its position and the view. Our reservation was with complementary breakfast. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Following are the most imp things that we encountered:

1. It’s located right on the bank of Ganges. So ghat access is fine- however, that’s for people with decent physical abilities. For old persons it’s very difficult to access as the long stairs are very high. Same logic to reach the hotel. Main car will drop you to the main road from where you have to walk at least a mile (?) through the famous alleys. The roads are very confusing. Google map works however, confuses you as well. The hotel staff was helpful and they
Will guide you up. Long story short if you think you cannot walk that much - don’t book this place.

2. Most of the times the water was muddy! On complaint the management gave a couple of bottled waters and advised to keep the faucet running. It solved the problem for a while, but again started.

3. Our room was very close to the rooftop restaurant. So a noise was there until a little hour.

the only thing that attracted me was that you can enjoy the views of river ganges from your room there is no motor able road right upto the hotel. hotel staff carried our luggage along narrow lanes for about 500 metresrestaurant was good and food was also good staffs are helpful and cooperativeroom and washroom very small in size there was not a single chair to sit.better cleanliness is expecteddone
