The Vijay Park

I attended a function at the basement hall. The arrangements are good as it a small function with limited numbers I have not experienced any inconvience as stated in other reviews. The Veg buffet is resonably good. As for myself is concered location wise it is convienent to reach. The parking space is not adequate. But overall experience is good.

I was a regular guest at this property in the early 2000s. Recently stayed at this property trusting my nostalgic moments. It was a terribly awful experience.

The room was bit stinky, so were the towels and bed sheets. I think they haven't changed the towels for almost a decade, such a worn out piece. An extremely dim light inside the bathroom. Luckily the toilet was clean!! Corroded iron rods were protruding from the washbasin platform.

Lifts don't work properly. You need to be lucky and God gifted if you are rushing to your room.

Restaurant is open only for complicated complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was cold oothapam and cold semiya accompanied with cold sambar, coconut chutney and a cold coffee. Thier complimentary drink is warm water!!

There are lot of special guests at night!!!

Recommendation: avoid this property!!! There are scores of good accommodations near by.

Booked Radha hall for an event in Vijay Park. The over all quality of services was very Poor. We faced following issues
1. Delayed opening of food counters. Gobi manchurian had only water. Even after multiple follow ups the items were not topped up
2. Personal belongs and gift items were stolen by the staffs
3. Room was not hygienic and AC was also not working. Complaints to clean the bathroom was also not prioritised
4. Unethical behaviour by the hotel top management during discussions. Treated without any respect!
5. No customer centric behaviour from the hotel manager.

The Vijay Park is located in the main place of Chennai. Just a few kilometres from Koyambedu bus depot. The ambience is awesome and it has a good parking space too. The rooms are very luxurious. There are many mini halls inside where one can conduct get together meetings, birthday, engagement functions, etc. The food served here is of good quality and taste. The service provided here is also so good.

I did not even stay...checked 2 rooms, in one room the drainage was blocked and then another room, the washroom was filled with cockroaches and the flush was a struggle to deal with...
The hotel just have the ambience to see from outside...when you enter the rooms the whole thing is a spam..
For this rate, rather than a room in vijay park it's better to sleep on the street.

Worst experience in this hotel.
So many cockroaches are there inside the room.they not even provided basic essentials like dental kit,comb,shampoo, moisturizer...... Very very bad

5 star for location - Hotel is located on the main road.
5 star for hotel ambience - Majestic reception hall.
5 star for car parking!

But when it comes to customer room experience, it is bit pathetic

2 stars- Room facilities - Old fashioned rooms meaning the same old infrastructure leaking or broken in bathrooms, bed and even bed cover are not updated ones.
2 stars- They don't even pick reception or Restaurant number to order something or urgent.

All they need to do is to invest and update the room facilities to make this place booming!!

We attented our cousin wedding this week. This hotel is calm and in decent place . The room looks little old and bathrooms are small and needed update.Toilet essentials provided was very moderate and they need to upgrade the quality.Metro station, cafe,bus stop and Restaurants are in walkable distance.Hotel amenities can be improved. Overall For location 5/5, service 3/5, food 3/5, quality 2/5.
