Great staff and service - kudos to Mr. Siva, H K Manager who goes an extra mile to understand the customer's needs and offers great hospitality.

We booked two interconnected rooms for me and my parents. The hotel lawn is very beautiful. The rooms are bit old, but neat and clean. hot water available from 5.30 to 12 in the morning and after 5 to 10 in the evening. Staffs behaviour is very good. The lawn and play area in the hotel is impressive for kids. We got complimentry dinner and breakfast. Both are good and above average. We went to take breakfast after the closing time, still they provided us with available items. Location is 20 mins walkable from connoor main bus station / railway station.

Rooms can be better. I opted for a suite and the room was quite big but there was no balcony. Also the tiles in the bathroom were slippery and the lights were less. I was finding it difficult to pack my bag. The food is awesome. I opted for a package which includes breakfast and dinner and there were a lot of options for both of them. Also they do bonfire and music in the evening which makes it a perfect place for family trips. If you have kids, it's a must go place. All in all I will book this again when I visit coonoor next.

We stayed there for 2 nights and got early check in around 7.30 am with early checkout criteria. We booked standard room and got a great view from the room balcony. Complimentary breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Ambience of the hotel was good with bon fire and great view of Coonor. It will be a memorable stay. Jude Jeevan (Guest Relation Officer) was very helpful and also gave guidance on the Sightseeing.

So, I will give a very balanced review. The biggest disappointment are the standard rooms which lacks basic amenities like cupboard/closet- Yes you heard me right. This is the 1st hotel I have encountered which does not believe in closets. The room size is good, but mattress is hell. The 1st room had no mattress. the TV size is very small and there was no shower in the bathroom. We were there for 4 days so faced these issues. They had a balcony and behind it they have their scrapyard. The height to the bathroom door is only 5 ft so if your height is more than that get ready for some bruises on your head. The outside ambience of the hotel is good they have plenty of space to organize party and their food is awesome. They offered me complimentary dinner when I reached them with my complaint. They just have to do few renovations to make it a good hotel- Remove the balcony and use the space for a closet. Increase the height of bathroom door, good color in the room- Dark red is pathetic. Renovate the bathroom a bit with new basin where guest can attest put their used stuffs. Message to management- above recommended changes does not required a huge govt permission. There is a huge scope for you guys to become a 3-star hotel. 5 star to Mr. Rajshekhar a true gentleman.

I totally enjoyed my stay at Hotel Vivek. A budget friendly hotel with all amenities and an excellent hospitality. A special thanks to Mr. Prabhu who made our stay very comfortable. And a special mention about their complimentary breakfast and dinner with widespread varieties. So, this will be the best option if you are looking for a budget stay with great services.

one of the best stays I had in my life. The room was small but neat and clean. The restaurant was simply awesome and they provided very tasty and quality food.The staff was very friendly and always asked for feedback and helped us .

cons: the deluxe rooms looked great. i stayed in normal basic room which had 2 single cots and mattress joined in a room which was not comfort for my son to sleep in the middle as it has a slope area in the middle (joint area) had a disturbed or uncomfortable sleep for all the 3 days. the bathrooms were normal and hot water is available only at a specific time. pros: the management provided complimentary breakfast and dinner which is a great deal and appreciate it. they do campfire daily which was awesome and never experienced in other hotels.they have a big lawn and children play area which is great. they also have outdoor dining space in the lawn.totally worth for the money.
