They will charge extra money if you go with online bookings. Hotel is not upto the money what they asking. Through online I’ve paid 900 and in addition they charged 1460 while Check-In. Even for the water bottles they charged extra money. They don’t have plates and glasses with them.

Manager Vellu is the worst manager I have seen so far. He has no idea how to talk to the customers and provide service. First, he denied our booking, then started talking rudely with us.

They just didn't verify if we had a confirmed booking or not. Just asked if you booked from oyo. We said no we booked from Agoda. They simply denied without even looking into their records for the booking. We saw few other ppl facing the same issue though they booked from different sites. Also, they were like u should hv called to confirm the booking. Who does that. In which thoses ppl r idk.

Velu the most arrogant and rude hotelier. I don't want to call him professional because he is not.

This review is about a rude person by name VELU who is said to be the manager of this hotel. To my surprise all he knows is to grab money from tourists & shout at them at the reception. I was asked to pay additional GST Amount of 1200 even after showing the full paid voucher at the time of Check In. He made me pay 1000 Rs for early check in but denied to give me receipt. For swimming pool he charged me 1000 Rs for 6 of us for which he had promised that he would give us discount. At the time of Check out when asked for the owners contact number he pretended to call someone and then said owners number is switched off. Totally money minded personality and he does not know the meaning of Guest Relations at all. How can the owner of this property have such people who only haunts for money than giving excellent service.

Velu is the worst ever personality in this place and I urge tourists not to go to this Hotel.

Rooms : Very Small ( 120 Sq Ft)
Restaurant : No Restaurant
Swimming Pool : They will charge you Rs250 per person per hour.
Service: Pathetic
Staffs : Worst Staffs( They are good but will only abide by what Velu orders)

Avoid this money minded place and find some better hotels to stay at Pondicherry.

I request the owner of the property to please take necessary action against Velu who charges extra from guests and talks rude without showing any amount of respect.

There is a guy at reception, he was very helpful. Because our room has booked in other hotel and then the booking shifted to this hotel with lots of complications. I don't know his name but he helped us, guide us with everything possible.

This has to be the worst hotel in pondicherry
We booked one room via OYO and the other one was booked directly. The owner Velu denies all oyo bookings. After arguing he agreed to allocate 1 room but with higher price than mentioned while booking.
There are couple of things you need to keep in mind if u r going here
1. Your vacation is ruined if you are staying there.
2. Rooms are v v dirty… the latches don’t work, bedsheets are not changed… they do not clean the room at all including washrooms
3. Swimming pool charges are extra
4. Oyo bookings to be allocated with extra charges and direct booking is a scam with them.
5. They keep changing the room rents if u don’t book it in bulk.
6. No basic amenities mentioned in oyo application
7. The most important thing is that you shouldn’t leave any of your valuables in room
Their STAFF members are THIEVES. We lost our speaker, cable wires and watch.
8. Stay away from their staff - GOPI, he was responsible for all our things that were lost.
Even while booking room do not go to him he fetches more money.
9. If language is the barrier then do not go to this hotel especially people from Karnataka stay away from this hotel.

No cleanliness, blankets were dirty, cupboards were full with sand and dirt. Day manager is the worst person have dealt with, night shift person speaking Hindi was good.

Rooms are small approx 120sq ft, so if you need bigger space go for other options.

Called cleaning services in morning and they said they can do it after 5pm only, till 9pm nobody came, after complaint at 9:30pm they sent cleaning staff.

Only single water bottle was provided for duration of 2nights, 3days of stay; rest was charged.

No kitchen available, they provide packed breakfast which seems to be ordered from outside and little bit cold.

*Finally got clarification from manager after my review that the charge for swimming pool is not for treebo bookings but to others like direct bookings.*

**The only good thing was the A/C in room and power backup when electricity outage happened.**

Staff was good but they only follow instructions.

Request to owner to instruct the manager (at least a cooperative behaviour with guests) or you will definitely loose your customers in future (was thinking to book coastal grand hotel at Yercaud but now.....no). Not sure why there is nothing has been done even plenty of worst service/behaviour reviews on Google.

**Edit: to my surprise I got a call from their Corporate General Manager (Coastal Grand hotels) to discuss issues faced. He wanted to understand pain points and wanted to rectify and improve things. +1 for this. Had a good discussion and explained everything happened. He made sure the rest of the stay eas smooth.

Worst worst behavior by manager... Money minded. Drinking water also chargable... Simply saying mokka room mokka receptionist and they want only money..dont go
