The Royal Plaza, Gangtok

I would definitely not recommended this hotel to anyone. Can you imagine ,, A 4 star resort , which does not have running hot water, they supply hot water for a limited period only.they have mentioned that they have in-house Casino , Swimming Pool , 24 hrs coffee shop. But on ground all is missing. And on top of that the lifts are also not in working condition.We checked in 30th March 22 , and the room was last disinfected on 22Feb 22.Proper toiletries items were also not provided ,Only soap and shampoo. Its is definitely not worth the amount they are charging for the room .

My experience Abt this hotel is awsum .. We stayed there for 7 days . The hotel provided us the best services .The foods were just fantastic and served hot and without any delay . Staffs and their behaviour was very nice and prompt .. rooms were spacious and cozy, view from window is just breathtaking, u can see sunrise from the middle of the mountains . it has a proximity to MG road that means the main market is just 10 minutes away . and the manager Mr.Samik Mukherjee is really very handsome. I think if u want to visit Gangtok u can definitely think about hotel Royal plaza for ur stay and believe me u will be 100% satisfied . I was just waiting for the trip to over so that I can write the review …

One of the best hotels with good comfortable stay. It’s a large property , descent , beautiful, aesthetically kept , well maintained and managed. The staff is courteous and food is really good, especially the buffet breakfast.
I along with 7 family members stayed there for 1 day , then went to nearby places and after 6 days we had bookings at some other hotel at Gangtok, when we went to other hotel(hotel Summit) we were disappointed there and we again preferred to come back to ROYAL PLAZA, as they are really good hosts. It’s a peaceful place and really a good star hotel , and the manager along with all staff members are always there for guests.
We all highly recommend this place and would love to go back to Gangtok once again

Door lock of room no.212 is defective from inside and out side. Whole night room was protected by placing a chair inside the door. No complaint attended by the hotel staff upto the last movement

One of the best place to stay very clean and hygienic. Most important the staff and service. Mr Arun Tamang , Mr Karma Geleg, Miss Priyanka Thapa made our stay memorable with there service and happy face. Stay is temporary but experience is permanent. Approx 2 kms away from Mg market. Hotel has casino too but was not in operation. Food is ok . Rooms are beautiful with valley views .

Worst casino I have ever seen dont ever visit there they are theft dont have any rules and regulations and service is at its worst

The rooms were nice. The bed was good. The breakfast was good. Other than that there are a host of problems. It is under staffed. The food menu has nothing different to offer. The hakka noodles that we ordered had a load of oil in it. The chicken had been cooked to a crisp on low heat. So it felt as if we are chewing leather. The locks don't work properly all the time, but some of the staff did try to be helpful. The experience could have been much better.

Good huge and well maintained property.
They have a huge lobby and in there they also also have a small library area with some good book collection. I really liked the idea of having a library!
Dinning area is good and clean...wide variety of yummy food items in buffet.
Ala carte is bit expensive but tasty.

Coming to rooms

Rooms are nice and with a beautiful view.
You can get the entire city view and mountains view..from that big window window...
And this was the best part of alll 😍

Staff is very courteous and helpful.

Overall our visit here was a good experience.
