Pros: The hotel is placed at a beautiful location which is probably the reason for their pricing. The room had a wonderful view of the lake, the room itself had some nice touches of cultural heritage.
Cons: The hotel has been maintained quite poorly. Furniture is old, the mattress in our room was pretty dented. The shower in the bathroom had a leak. The food at their rooftop restaurant was average. Unpleasantly, there were spiderwebs and insects right next to our dinner table.
Overall experience was alright. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

This hotel is amazing and heritage kind of building which gives a royal feeling. We booked a suite and it was amazing and beautiful room.
Room was clean, bathroom was very big and hygienic. Also the lake view from the room are superb.
Thanks lake pichola hotel for the amazing stay☺️

One of the best stay. The hotel view, cleanliness , food, proximity to nearby tourist places, lake view, staff behaviour , everything is awesome. Stayed for 4 days and not even one day was boring here. I had booked this hotel after hearing many reviews about them. And everything was exactly like expected. Hoping to visit again soon in future .

Udaipur is like Hogwarts, any road can become a one-way at any point in time. Our taxi was stopped midway by police saying it is one way due to tourist traffic. So we took a rickshaw to the hotel. The building is beautiful, the view from the lobby is spectacular, rooms wide and cozy. We did not take lake facing rooms as they are small. Lounging facing the lake is one of the highlights. They have a nice aviary, a very friendly dog and a token aquarium. We petted the dog to our 💓 content.
Breakfast spread is impressive.
"Upre" rooftop restaurant needs a reservation, has a killer view but the food was not to our liking. Staff is welcoming.
Approach road like all old city roads is quite narrow.
Definitely recommended for a stay.
One warning though- the safe resets if there is a power cut. The stuff which you thought was kept safe is not that safe. 😊

Beautiful haveli hotel on Lake Pichola.

We stayed in the suite room. The room is very big. Cleanliness is spot on.
Views are amazing.

1 star deducted only for service and breakfast.
We were offered a welcome drink after one hour of reaching the hotel.
Breakfast was disappointing when compared with room pricing.

Will definitely like to visit again just for the view and beautiful room/property.

Suggest booking the room without breakfast as there are multiple and tasty breakfast options in the same lane.

The room which we stayed was not that clean , the dryer and few bulbs were not working the room was below average and was overpriced. The boat ride was also heavily charged . The staff was very limited hence they could not attend all the guests and had to wait for long time to get our order. Felt like they have cut down on staff. Coming to the good part they had huge variety for menu, the boat chauffeur was extremely kind and the e auto chauffeur was very humble polite .

This hotel is located at the best spot on lake pichola. The rooms are very beautiful and the totally worth the price. The staff is helful and also it has ample parking of its own. It also has a roof top restaurant with spectacular views. You can also arrange for private boat rides from the hotel itself. They have their own private boat.

Do not book the non-lake facing rooms, seriously. I’d guess it’s a fine place to stay in the lake-facing rooms. The room we were placed in - room 119- was one of the worst hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Horrible nights sleep - it was so noisy in the room it felt like we were outside: notably less soundproof than our friends’ room. This was complemented by the aviary of many birds 5m from the room and flute playing at all hours.

This hotel should be ashamed of the product they provided. The bathroom had an awful chemical stench - I had to stop breathing through my nose to enter it. The metal stairs to get to the room were falling apart - we were careful to avoid the parts that seemed close to breaking through. Our king bed was actually two saggy twins under king sheets. The shower curtain only extended over 1/3 of the rod.

Its possible you could have a nice time in the lake facing rooms, but the non lake facing rooms are a scam and you should avoid them.

Also the pool photo in the google listing is a fake - the actual pool is a small tank.

At least the hotel’s dog, Aspen, is a total sweetie.
