Hotel Garh Jaisal Haveli, Jaisalmer

Staff were lovely, very attentive and helpful. Rooms beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Food in the restaurant was good and all freshly cooked. Great location and great views.

This was my favourite place of all my trip to India. Highly recommended.

I stayed here twice and I have to say that it is the perfect location to enjoy Jaisalmer. The rooms are very clean, the view of the rooms and the rooftop is awesome. The service is one of the best I had. Room decoration is beautiful especially the Heritage Room and you will get a calm and cozy sleep due to the thick walls. It is a little bit more expensive than other places but worth every Rupee. The management and staff is also very helpful and welcoming. If you want a desert trip without any tourists, they can organise it for you. If you want to know about the city or where to go, just ask and you will get a good tip where to go, when to go and what to eat. Staff here is really living Atithi Devo Bhava.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying at in India. The staff, including Anit and Suraj, were extremely accommodating and friendly. Their Chef is also friendly and an amazing cook. Try the Malai Kofta. They even serve red wine and beer for a reasonable price. The rooms are well decorated, super clean and very comfortable. But one of the best things about this place is the view. You’re staying inside one of the last “living forts” in the world! With some of the best views in all of Rajasthan, maybe India. It overlooks the whole city and this Haveli has the second highest terrace in all of Jaisalmer - barring the palace, which you cannot stay at. This Haveli is next level and well worth booking, if just for a night. I cannot recommend Garh Jaisal Haveli enough! Thank you Anit and Suraj for a wonderful experience.

The staff was super helpful with every little thing. The rooms were well stocked and the food from whatever little we tried was great too.

Excellent property, great location and royal service! We stayed here for 3 nights and this has become our go to place for any future trips. Tarun also helped us in organising our whole trip and staff ensured we had a memorable stay.

This hotel is inside the Jaisalmer Fort having a very good city view from its rooms and terrace. My room had a Sun Rise view which was really awesome. The property manager was really helpful and polite, I liked his behaviour. The room size was good with an extra bed provided.

But, here are some problems which I faced in this hotel -
I understand that this hotel doesn't provide so much luxurious facilities but it lacks some basic services which should be provided. No room service means you can't order your food inside the room, even if you are having a small baby and you are not able to go to the dining area again and again, they won't serve in the room no matter how much you request them. In the morning there was no electricity till 9 AM due to which the water supply was not there in the bathroom, also you can't charge your phone or laptop as back up was not having any socket enabled and even you can't use the electric kettle. The room service boy was very rude and used to give odd answers almost misbehaving with you.

Sweet purple and Scarlet room

Location - is very convinient, right in the fort, can't get any eaiser to explore the fort and havelis around.

Cleanliness - washrooms and bedrooms were very clean. The entire hotel and rooftop restaurant was also very clean.

Food - we only had breakfast which was good. Poha was not that good but parathas and fresh juice were really good.

Interior - the hotel interior is as shown in the pictures, very traditional, vibrant and beautiful. The small touches of rajasthani culture can be seen in the interior of the hotel.

Hospitality - entire staff was very nice, accommodating and quick in action. Mr. Arilit was very kind and polite. He helped us to get a tour guide aswell upon our request in a very short time. Also, he helped to arrange for luggage transportation from the taxi parking area to the hotel.

Scope for improvement - linen and towels could be of better kind and more clean. They were clean but can be better.

Overall, we all were very pleased with the rooms and our stay. I definately recommend this place.

Just beautiful!!! It feels like you’re living in a palace within the fort, the included breakfast is incredible, the laundry is fair priced, it’s walking distance from all the best attractions within the fort. One of my best hotel experiences in India :)
