The staff were really really good, like their nature and their helpfulness. That was really sweet. People were ready to help. One day we got late and we missed the restaurant where we planned our dinner it was close due to timing. I knew the hotel had an in-house restaurant so I called at 11:30 to the manager whether we could get the food or not as we did not have anything else to eat. So he asked the staff to work a bit extra so we could come and order our dinner. I felt really great at that time.

The view of the hotel was of Lake Minerwa, actually every hotel in the area had the view because they all went on increasing their floor so they could get a view of the lake.

On Day 1 when the manager showed me the room I was very upset as it was nothing like the image shown. So we decided to find some new place nearby but as it was the peak weekend, there was not a single place where we could get the room.
We decided to continue, the room we got was a big room (according to them) where 4 people can easily sleep, 2 double beds were provided but sheets were not clean, AC was not working when we came after that they called the mechanic to repair AC. One of the biggest turns off for the room was the toilet, it was open from up so when any of us uses the toilet the other can hear the voice and smell will spread in the room. They gave us the room freshener for it, there was a single window in the room which they asked us not to open because it was rainy so the whole room would be flooded.

I will start by saying there was a ownership change during Covid and some of the reviews prior to this change are irrelevant. The previous owner is still around and is one of the nicest people you’ll meet.

This review is regarding the GUESTHOUSE not the hotel.

The good: First of all - the price. It’s the major plus in this guesthouses, it’s considerably cheaper than other options in this area.
Another thing is the morning management team who were lovely and kind.
The shower is the room was the best we had in our trip to India.
The restaurant team was also kind.

The bad: the room was far from clean, the bedsheets were torn and dirty (see added photos), we had a liner so it wasn’t dramatic for us but I wouldn’t sleep in them without one. Also the bathroom sink and overall facilities were not so clean.
Since the guesthouse is on one of the main roads there is noise 24/7 in the room. Honking, people screaming, music, and a mosque across the road that calls for prayer though speakers at 5:15 AM every day. On top of all that both the ceiling fan and the A/C make SO MUCH NOISE you really cant turn them on while sleeping. Basically you have to be a very deep sleeper for a good nights rest.
Also, the curtains in the room do not block out sunlight, so the room is bright from the moment the sun’s up.

The ugly: we’ve booked a driver for a day trip through the guesthouse office to kumbhalgarh (supposingly a two hour drive each way), not only was the driver late by an hour so we arrived to the temple 10 minutes prior to closing time, he decided to stop by his friends house to exchange a package, taking us in a different route home, adding an extra 45 min to the drive. He refused to take the highway and only drove through small bumpy roads which were really annoying and delayed us even more (we were tracking the hole time with google maps). After all the delays we’ve asked him to drop us off at a restaurant (since it was already 8 PM and we haven’t eaten since 9AM) the night shift manager had the audacity to ask for an extra 500 rupees for this drop off (not even that far from the guesthouse), we obviously refused and eventually he had agreed to drop us off with no extra charge. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND closing through the guesthouse office.
Another thing - on the day of checkout the same night manager tries arguing with us we owed another 2000 rupees that we already paid him! Again we refused to pay and he did not insist. Overall he is an unpleasant man in our opinion.
Lastly- we recommend closing the price per night over a phone call prior to arrival, we’ve heard from other guests that when they came without discussing it prior they were offered a room for a higher price than we paid.

Overall we have stayed for a few days (more than intended because we got sick the last couple of days) it was a place to crash for cheap not much more, except for the wonderful previous owner 😇

It is a very nice hotel for the price.

The best part was the washroom and hot shower. It was better than many costlier hotels that I stayed in.

The roof top restaurant is also pretty nice and windy with a decent view - would recommend the paneer paratha from the restaurant. (You may skip on the aloo paratha and the lassi - I did not like either of them)

The room came with way more toiletries than I expected.

The below is a list of things to expect:
Room will not have a view in most scenarios
Room has a bit of a mossy smell - it goes away once you turn the fan on
Room did not have a dustbin

It's an ok place for the price you pay. Don't expect anything good just a below average I wont say hotel it's a lodge. Its ok if you wanna stay on a budget. The roof top is really good that is the only advantage here. You'll get a very good view of the lake at night. The food is also good.rooms are ok nothing great.

A budget friendly hotel along with restaurant, I've been wanting a lake view hotel but all were in a higher range of rate. Some were cheap but there was no view as we got in this hotel. Uh can have dinner, lunch, breakfast up at the roof, but I'll suggest uh to do dinner. lighting, lake view and the music in background can blow ur mind. Uh can also have beer there and alchohol as well.. Hotel employees are so good in services.. I would suggest uh to go there if uh want a budget trip.
