Indians treated as second class citizens in our own country..by Indians.
We were in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and wanted to have dinner with the view of the magnificent Mehrangarh fort. We found one suitable restaurant named Indique, Pal Haveli. We had called before going there. When we went to the restaurant, we were flatly refused any seats. Only when we insisted that we had called before coming, they said don't wait here, wait downstairs if seats are available after 9, we will call you. Saying this they were reluctant to even take down our name and number.
This stance completely changed when some foreigners, a couple of caucasian origin entered the restaurant asking for a seat. The manner of the person who was addressing us earlier, rudely, was now polite and even respectful. He told them the table will be available in 5 or max 15 mins and he offered them a seat while waiting.
The discrimination was quite clear. Only when I protested with him for the kind of discrimination, to hush me up he offered a seat and eventually a table. Still makes me sad on the way we were treated.
The way we are treated as second class citizens in our own country by our own country men is quite hurtful.

If you want to spend your evening with your loved ones with exotic ambience and legendry view of Meharangarh Fort, this is the place. Food is better and services too. Best time to visit in evening, when you can click worthy pictures. Here pictures of choco lava cake , it was mouthwatering.

Good place to stay with the aura of an oldworld charm, rooms are good, well behaved staff, food is good, especially Laal maans is something to be tried. Only minus point is... No provision for parking☹️

This place is truly a hidden gem! Love the vibe and the view from this roof top restaurant. Chef Vishal Gautam who’s probably the head chef, was really kind and helpful in getting us the best dinner. Me and my husband loved the place so much, we ended up coming back again the very next day!! If it’s your first time , make sure to reserve in advance because this place is always fully booked!

Absolutely loved the hospitality. Not only is this the most beautiful property in Jodhpur (we tried another hotel before this one and saw several others as well) but it is also very clean and well-managed and maintained.
The staff is so polite and welcoming. My cousin left some of his valuables in the hotel, the staff that worked the night shift returned after their long shift just so that they could help us find the lost item.
Loved everything about the place. The only thing I was not extremely content with is the restaurant at the hotel, the food was alright but the service was terrible. But, this has nothing to do with the beautiful Pal Haveli and it's lovely staff.

Beautiful restaurant. Lovely views from the roof terrace. But the food was mediocre at best and for Jophpur, it is very expensive. The whole experience was ruined by the survey/review form they asked me to compete at the end of my meal.
