Kankarwa Haveli

It is a very aesthetic property directly overlooking Lake Pichola.
The rooms are all different and you need to select one that meets your requirements.
Steps are sharp, so be wary.
The restaurant is on the top floor. 3 flights of staircases.
View from the rooms & roof top are breathtaking.
A lovely library away from the hustle bustle of the streets.
Would recommend to those wgo can negotiate staircases with ease

First of all I would like to say that ignore all the negative reviews. This is the best place to stay in Udaipur if You want genuine heritage feel. Our hosts mr Divyarishi and Mrs Rudrangda were so kind, humble and polite, we loved our stay there. After the sight seeing whenever we returned to the haveli we felt as if we are going home, even my wife sometimes subconsciously said k ab ghar chalte hain 😂. It was so homely and the service was very good, neat and clean rooms, well furnished, with clean bathroom. And the food was healthy and delicious. The best thing was the location, it is located adjacent to city palace on the bank of lake pichola, and offers very scenic views from rooms, even from the ground floor rooms. And the terrace view was mesmerising. I feel this was our best stay ever. Thank You team of kankarwa haveli for making our trip memorable and beautiful. Whenever we visit next time we will most probably choose You again.

The haveli and it’s hosts are an absolute delight! The views of Lake Pichhola are terrific especially during the monsoon. The rooms are decent size and clean but they getting there can be a steep climb. The warm hospitality of the haveli is the real treasure of this place!

I recently stayed for a week at Kankarwa Haveli and found it to be the perfect base to enjoy the stunning city of Udaipur. Managed by the delightful proprietor Divyarishi and his attentive and polite team, we have felt welcomed during our stay, and have found the rooms to be clean and tidy. The views from the balcony (where you have a very good breakfast) are exceptional, and the location of the haveli means the Old City and the palaces are a few minutes away. For cost, location and enjoyment of stay, this is a beautiful and charming Haveli that rivals the bigger 5 star locations and often bests them. I would highly recommend a visit.

A lovely traditional haveli with a great location on the lake. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, and offers good quality and choice - fruit, omelettes, parathas, lassi. The rooms reflect the age and character of the building, but the beds are comfy with plenty of blankets for the cooler nights, and the hot water was reliable (always a bonus!). Some occasional noise at night (dogs barking) but otherwise peaceful, including the distant morning call to prayer.

It's a beautiful property right by the lake. The hosts are very hospitable and will also help you with reservations and recommendations!

Lovely heritage place with old world charm - the rooms are just next to the lake and the rooftop restaurant offers a lovely view esp at sunset.
Menu choices are a bit limited but preparation is great. Lot of variety eating options available around. The staff is friendly and courteous esp Satbeer in the restaurant. If your are looking for part of an old world charm then this is a great place.

I had stayed there for 1 day...
Narrow stair case, small rooms but clean. One extra bed type near the window to get the view of lake if u get the lake view room. If by chance u leave the window open the pigeons will make the mess of ur room.
The manager was very rude n arrogant of his property due to which I stayed there only for a day and shifted to Mewar Villa.
